Fall 2025
Boot Camp: Intro to Python for AI/ML
Audience: Middle & high school students (focus on underrepresented groups)
Duration: 12 hours
Where: SJSU King Library
When:
Friday, 11/14, 11/21: 4pm–6pm
Saturday, 11/15, 11/22: 2pm–6pm
Content Highlights: Python basics, control structures, data structures, libraries, visualization, intro to AI/ML, mini project
Outcome: Small Python projects
Special: Guest speakers
Pre-Showcase (Mentorship/Support)
Where: SJSU King Library
When: Sunday, 11/23, 1–2pm
Mentor feedback, Q&A practice, small group guidance
Showcase
Where: SJSU King Library
When: Sunday, 11/23, 3–5pm
Present projects, networking, guest speakers, community & parent engagement
Awards: Certificates for all; top 3 teams recognized
Spring 2026
Boot Camp: Simple AI/ML Applications
Prerequisite: Fall 2025 boot camp or equivalent knowledge
Onboarding: 2-day intro training for new students
Duration: 12 hours (flexible scheduling)
Content Highlights: AI/ML concepts, datasets, basic ML models, visualization, real-world applications
Outcome: Projects solving real-world problems
Special: Guest speakers, mentoring, networking

2 hours before showcase • Mentor feedback, mock presentations, interactive Q&A
Showcase
3 hours, late Spring • Project demos, Q&A, networking with professionals
Awards: Certificates for all; top 3 teams recognized
Summer 2026
Boot Camp: Advanced AI/ML Applications
Prerequisite: Spring 2026 boot camp or equivalent knowledge
Onboarding: 2-day intro training for new students
Duration: 12 hours (flexible scheduling)
Content Highlights: Supervised/unsupervised learning, neural networks, deep learning, model optimization, project deployment
Outcome: Advanced AI/ML projects

Pre-Hackathon Workshop
2 hours before hackathon • Workflow, team dynamics, ideation, mentorship, presentation skills
Hackathon: AI/ML for Healthcare & Sustainability
Team-based problem solving • Students from all boot camps + open to other middle/high school students
Awards: Participation certificates; top 3 teams recognized
Special Features: Community engagement, networking with professionals
Post-Hackathon Reflection
1-hour session, online or in-person • Reflect, discuss opportunities, recognize achievements
